Midwest Alternative Fuel Vehicle Expo reaches out to race fans

In the suburban Chicago area there’ve long been race nights, but next week will see a somewhat newer combination of racecars and the Midwest Alternative Fuel Vehicle Expo on May 13 at the Route 66 Raceway, according to the Suburban Chicago News. Of course, some high-performance race cars run on ethanol, but the MAFVE will allow people to get a closer look at hybrids and other alternative fuel vehicles with free test drives, and some owners of alternative fuel vehicles will race their cars down the track. It seems to be promote-alternative-energy-cars-to-students month (see my previous posts here and here), since the Joliet Township high schools are involved in the expo.
