G-Wiz EV makes driving gas free

We reported earlier this week on the Maranello4, a new electric vehicle (EV) for the London urban dweller. Well, it'll find itself in good company.

The G-Wiz, which has been sold in the U.K. for the last year and a half, is a similar EV with similar benefits: easy to park, exempt from many city taxes, free parking in select spots, and a 40 mile range per charge. The two-door, four-seater hatchback has won numerous awards including 'Most environmentally friendly car in the U.K.' and 'What's Hot for 2005'. The EV had been designed in the U.S. (California) and manufactured in India. Standard model is priced around $15,628 with a new 'base' model available this year for a little over $13,000.
