DaimlerChrysler fuel cell fleet passes two million kilometer mark

Last week, DaimlerChrysler announced that its worldwide fleet of fuel cell vehicles – buses, A-Class cars, and vans used in Asia, Europe, the United States and Australia – had passed a combined odometer reading of two million kilometers. So far, the company tells us, the vehicles have been performing "at full steam". The fleet is made up of 60 A-Class cars, 36 buses and some Sprinter vans. The vehicles deliver mail, transport passengers and are used by government agencies. One of the components to the fuel cell vehicle trial is working with other groups such as local governments and utility companies to develop a hydrogen delivery infrastructure for the vehicles. More details on the trial are available here.
