More Texas-based biofuel news: New biodiesel plant in Oklahoma

Well, this story isn't exactly in Texas, but it does have a lot to do with what is now apparently the Lone Star Biofuel State. TexCom, with headquarters in Houston, announced yesterday they will build a biodiesel plant in Oklahoma, funded in part by $6 million of former University of Oklahoma and Dallas Cowboys coach Barry Switzer's money. Switzer will become a consultant and advisor for TexCom. Construction on the plant will begin in November. TexCom is also building a 35 million gallon per year biodiesel plant in Seabrook, Texas. TexCom president Lou Ross will present at the 2nd Annual Platts Biodiesel Investor Conference in Houston, Texas, which we mentioned a few days ago.
