Google's Green Summer offers easy environmentally conscious trip planning

So, you've got your hybrid car and some time off this summer. Now where are you going to go? If you're near (or willing to drive to) Las Vegas, New York, Orlando, San Francisco, or Los Angeles, then Google would like you to plan a green trip using their new Green Summer page. The site features interactive maps, with addresses and video clips of environmentally sensitive establishments like (in San Francisco) the Exploratorium, the Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market and Crissy Field. The few links the map has aren't that incredibly helpful, but the site also makes it easy to find Zip Cars, public transportation and gives tips on how to search greener. For example, "When using Google Maps, place 'environmentally friendly' into all search terms."
