Escape hybrid presentation in Denver

In just a little while (at 3 pm EST, if everything goes as scheduled), Ford is going to give a demonstration of its Escape Hybrid to Denver city officials, taxi industry folks and consumers in (and I'm not sure how they're going to get an Escape in there) the 3rd floor of the Law Library of the Denver City and County Building. Ford is trying to promote the Escape as a taxi and municipal fleet vehicle because of its "uncompromised cargo and passenger volume, plus an 80 percent improvement in city fuel economy and AT-PZEV emissions -- the cleanest emission standard achievable by a vehicle that burns fossil fuels." Denver started using alternative fuel vehicles in the early '90s and the city's fleet includes hybrids, and vehicles that use biodiesel, propane and CNG.
