Biodiesel a contentious issue in South Korea
If you can get past the fishy-sounding claim that "drivers of all gasoline cars will have to use biodiesel-mixed gasoline in the future" (I think saying biodiesel can be mixed with regular unleaded is a translation error), there's good information to be gained from this article on the global move towards biodiesel as it's playing out in South Korea. Seems like Korea's new law that requires all diesel to be at least B0.5 (yes, half a percent of biodiesel in the diesel fuel), is drawing fire from a lot of people, including environmentalists who say it's not enough (they're pushing for B20). Oil refineries originally helped drive down the percentage of biodiesel that would be required in each gallon of standard diesel. [Source: Donga]
