Gas Mileage Bible author gives fuel saving tips on NPR

While driving around early this morning, I heard Marketplace Money's interview with the Gas Mileage Bible author Ron Hollenbeck. Marketplace host Scott Jagow talks to Hollenbeck about ways everyone can increase the mileage they get out of their automobiles. Hollenbeck's tips are mostly common sense, but sometimes its good to hear them spelled out for you (I'm sure his book gets into a little more of the nitty and or gritty of fuel-saving tips). My favorite tip was to speed up gently, imaging that you have an egg under your gas pedal. I also liked Jagow's comment that you can always save gas by driving less. Why do we still need to mention this? You can listen to the interview here.
