DuPont and BP reveal updated biofuel strategy

DuPont and BP announced last week an update to their biofuel-promoting partnership, which is focused on biobutanol and cellulosic ethanol. DuPont officials spoke at the third annual World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioprocessing Conference, held in Toronto, and said the partnership has a three-part strategy to develop new technologies in the advanced biofuels market. The three steps are to improve existing ethanol production methods, developing cellulose-to-biofuel technologies and "developing and supplying next generation biofuels with improved performance." If you were wondering why the chemical company DuPont is involved, it's because one way the partnership will try to make better ethanol is through "differentiated agricultural seed products and crop protection chemicals".

I am very happy to see that a famous organization like BP is going for environment friendly energy source. I wish to see initiatives like these from other big petroleum companies like BP in future.
