Enid, Oklahoma ethanol plant looks for an OK

Potential investors (i.e. citizens) learned more details of a proposed 55 million gallon a year ethanol project in Enid, Oklahoma. The plant is being proposed by Oklahoma Sustainable Energy LLC (OSE), which says it needs somewhere between $5 million and $14 million to build the plant. The plant will use Vogelbusch bioethanol technology to make ethanol from corn and milo and will be located near train tracks to deliver the ethanol across the country.

One interesting aspect of the ethanol plant is that 'Chaparral Energy LLC, an Oklahoma oil and gas company, has committed to funding two-thirds of the project. In turn, all the Carbon Dioxide (CO2) produced during the distilling process will be captured and used by Chaparral to inject wells, increasing the production of oil and gas", according to the Alva Review Courier.
