Bajaj auto-rickshaws to get fuel injectors for LGP, CNG models
As energy needs increase in India, the country is becoming more conscious of harmful emissions. Bajaj Auto recently announced that Orbital will supply fuel injectors for the company's auto-rickshaws that run on LPG and CNG. The two companies were already working together on gas models.

Saw this car (?) picture and immediately though, isn't this the sort of car that the California attorney general wants sold in California, to the exclusion of all other types?
Of course, once the car had the required air bags, side beams, side air bags, crumple zones, anti lock brakes, vehicle stability control (especially needed with 3 wheels, I'd guess), emissions equipment and so forth, the top speed "might" be somewhere in the order of what - 20 mph? The mileage "might" drop just a tad, from a huge weight increase too, but what the heck, huh?
Wow, you Californians will be "stylin' in these three wheelers" if your esteemed (?) government has it's way.
These cars will go down well in the socialist Northeast U.S. where they follow California's every move, too. Except the passengers "might" be a tad COLD for about, say, 4-5 months of the year.
Can common-sense be FROZEN into people, I wonder?

The top speed of these auto-rikshaws is under 20 MPH with or without the safety features.
I wonder who is paying these astroturfers to come and muck up auto-blog green?

Wow, you guys really like to go off without the burden of facts. The gas model of one of these will go 40 easily and it registers as a motorcycle, relieving it of many, many regulatory hurdles.

Just look around out of car world guys(to Glen and Sid). This is not a car, its called auto rickshaw(u must have heard only cars through out ur life) for transporting people in metro cities in tropical countries. Speed is the last thing this is designed for(when its running in a small city of radious 50 miles)

Interesting trivia about these ricks: when Google duo Sergey and Larry visited India two years ago, they became fans of these vehicles and wanted to take one with them to Googleplex.
Apparently, they were surprised with its turning radius and the alacrity with which it maneuvers city traffic.
