Travelers insurance discount for hybrid drivers extends to Texas

Travelers insurance company has a discounted insurance rate for hybrid drivers that is slowly becoming available across the country. Yesterday, green drivers in Texas got their invite to the 10 percent discount on certain coverages. Even though Texas drivers have had to wait for the Travelers program, other hybrid benefits have been in place for a while. Two Texas cities, Austin and San Antonio, give hybrid drivers free parking. Throughout the state, almost 10,000 new hybrids were registered in the state in 2005. Texas is the 40th state where Travelers' hybrid program is available, even though the program was supposed to be nationwide by mid-2006. There's more information at hybridtravelers.
