Ford executive says company still stressing eco-technology
Even though Ford is struggling financially, one executive says the company is committed to investing in technology and new product. Susan Cischke is the VP of environmental and safety engineering and she spoke to reporters before attending a symposium in Japan. She said Ford considers ecological technology crucial to the company's strategy, including hybrids and fuel-cell vehicles. She did admit, however, that Ford has lagged behind other companies in addressing fuel economy.
