Maybe Hollywood needs to drive more hybrids?

A new report out of UCLA says Hollywood creates more air pollution than the apparel, hotel or aerospace industries in Southern California. It appears that outdoor, live-action car crashes and all things related to filming contribute to most of the industry-generated pollutants, but so do editing computers that require electricity and air conditioning. One production house will install solar panels to reduce dependence on the grid. The report cited examples of enviro-friendly moves, including planting tress to offset CO2 emissions caused by vehicles and generators during production.

Maybe Hollywood needs to fly fewer private jets.

It's so obvious when you go there - the air is abnormally smoky - and it takes forever to get anywhere because the highways are always jam-packed.
As 'green' as LA-ers like to profess that they are (especially Hollywood actors), their actions sure say the opposite.
