What's hot at the L.A. Auto Show and the EDTA Conference?

Next week, AutoblogGreen will be attending both the Los Angeles Auto Show and the Electric Drive Transportation Association Conference & Exhibition. While we already have our eyes on certain displays and companies we want to report on, we go to these shows because of our readers and we want to make sure you get the coverage you're most interested in. But we won't know what this is unless you tell us. What have you heard in the rumor mill that piqued your interest? What do you think will be the biggest news of the shows? If you need a detailed list of what's coming up in L.A. and D.C., zip over to the websites for the LA Show and the EDTA show and check out their schedules and list of vendors. Then come back here and tell us in the comments what gets you most excited, what you wish you could ask these companies and industry leaders. We'll try our best to pose your questions to the appropriate folks, and include the answers in our report coverage next week.
If you're interested in possibly attending these shows next year, and are a good writer, remember that we're looking for more paid bloggers to join our stable. Here's the application info.

I'd like to see some good pictures and details on the new Ford Escape Hybrid, which is due to be announced at the LA show.

In addition to the refresh on the Ford Escape Hybrid, LA should have the new Saturn Vue Greenline Hybrid. The Vue will be an entirely new chassis, but keep the current mild hybrid drivetrain. There is talk that there will be two Vue Hybrid models, the current 4-cyl BAS and a new 6-cyl "two mode" hybrid.
There is also some chance that one of these hybrid will become flex-fuel, which would be nice. I expect the domestics to announce more flex fuel vehicles, but probably not until the NAIAS in Detroit.
There should also be some clean diesel news. I've read BMW has a 5-series diesel planned, but I thought they were doing a diesel X5 for LA debut. There is always a chance that Honda or VW might have an early showing of some clean diesel vehicle. VW has also been "testing" B20 biodiesel since 2005, so at some point I hope they announce warranty support for B20. DCX will indubitably have some clean diesels on display.

Tesla is supposed to be there. See what info you can get out of them in regards to their upcomming "WhiteStar" sedan.

Yup, I'd also like to see whatever info you can get out of Tesla - and more pictures too. Haven't really seen many pictures of the roadster that haven't been by Tesla's PR people.
Also, anything purely electric. If you can get more details on that Phoenix Motorcars thing that Stan Sitwell, err I mean Ed Begley Jr. was showing a few weeks back at SEMA that'd be cool although I don't know if they'll be at EDTA or not.

I'd like to know more about Feel Good Cars' timetable to release more info (or a demonstrator vehicle) using EEStor's ultracapacitor technology in the ZENN urban electric car.
Background: http://tinyurl.com/ydese2 (PDF from ZENN site)
"The company has come up with a new method for making ultracapacitors, battery-like devices that can store large amounts of electricity. EEStor's energy storage unit can hold enough charge to power a car 300 miles, according to its patent"
"Feel Good Cars Corp., a Canadian electric-vehicle company that has signed a deal to put EEStor units in its cars."
