Tesla roadster not impervious to radar!
Our colleagues over at Jalopnik have a report on the first known traffic ticket for the hottest electric car yet, the Tesla Roadster. Apparently the electric Elise was out and about near the San Carlos, California home base when it popped up on the radar of the California Highway Patrol. Evidently, the battery doesn't emit enough electro-magnetic interference to jam police radar, so drivers will still need their detectors. [Source: Jalopnik]

heh... love it. I bet there was no "could you turn your engine off please sir" statement by the cop.
I always carry a camera, and always ask the cop if I can take a photo of the stop. You'd be surprised how accommodating the police will be. ;)

I hope there will be a time in the not too distant future where this will be so commonplace as not to be newsworthy.

In an odd way, good publicity for the Tesla Roadster. This ain't no slow little golf cart!
Reminds me a bit of the cerimonial speeding ticket issued to the first human powered vehicle to exceed 60 mph unassisted.

Wow, its the spaghetti code car. Probably got stuck again and parked his car in a illegal parking zone.
