Wards announces 13th annual 10 best engines including Mercedes BlueTec V-6
For the past dozen years Ward's Auto World, an industry trade magazine has been naming what it considers the ten best engines each year. Three new engines made the list this year including the new Ford 3.5L V-6, BMW's turbocharged inline-six and the DaimlerChrysler 3.0L v-6 turbo-diesel. The Mercedes V-6 equipped with BlueTec is now available in several different platforms including including the E, GL and ML classes. Next year the second stage version with urea injection will be added making it 50 state legal. Also on the list as a repeat winner was the VW/Audi 2.0L four cylinder with direct fuel injection which allows for more fuel efficiency, better power and cleaner emissions.
