Fuel cells for Team Green R/C racers

R/C racers can now harness the power of a real fuel cell, thanks to Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies. The H-cell plugs into 1/10th scale electric R/C cars, replacing the traditional 7.2-volt NiCad battery. The conversion kit comes with an air-cooled PEM fuel cell, an electronic control unit and scaled-down fuel storage tanks that hold 20 to 40 liters of solid-state hydrogen. The fuel-cell kit can also be adapted to electric boats, planes and robots. Horizon earlier this year released the H-racer, a miniature fuel-cell car that comes with a solar-powered hydrogen refueling station. The kits reportedly will start shipping in early 2007.

The energy cartels are having a difficult time selling "the hydrogen economy" to adults because research clearly shows what an inefficient turkey it really is. Their strategy of using the president to sell their new drug is failing (he’s changed his tune from hydrogen to PHEVs and Bio-Fuels) and they are so desperate to maintain their monopoly death grip on fueling our cars that they are now trying to program the kids on the "wonders of hydrogen." Big energy must have hired the same marketing and PR firms that food giants like McDonalds & Burger King use to sell kids on the wonderful benefits of their healthy foods. I can hear it now… “Daddy, let’s buy one of those cool hydrogen fuel cell cars, not one of those lame electric ones.”

Perfect experiment car.
Put a needle sized hole in hydrogen tank in a small air-tight box. Make a small spark in box and boom the whole car is on fire. I wonder if they will allow this car on planes? They prohibit the sale of sodium hydroxide in most of US yet they want to sell pure Hydrogen Gas to the general public.
UnBelievable!

This may be the perfect way to stifle all of the hydrogen hoopla. Once the kids find out how bulky hydrogen storage is, and how limited the range is, and how expensive hydrogen fuel will be, well, they won't want to have anything to do with HFC cars when they grow up.
A LiIon R/C car would drive rings around it.
