Ouch! R/C fuel cell will cost $1,500

A few days ago I had a post about a fuel-cell kit for R/C racers from Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies. The fuel cell replaces the standard battery pack in 1/10th scale cars. Now comes an update that the 30-watt fuel-cell option will cost around $1,500, and there's already a waiting list. Horizon says cars can go over 20 mph and will run up to 45 minutes on a single tank of fuel. Too bad they won't be ready in time for Christmas. The units aren't expected to ship until early next year.
