Rent a green (tomato) car in London
If you have the chance to travel to London and need to rent a car while there, consider Green Tomato Cars. This company allows you to choose a Toyota Prius for the same price as their other vehicle offerings. They also plant trees to help offset the emissions of their cars. Additionally, they engage in other energy saving projects, and purchase supplies only at environmentally friendly sources whenever possible.
If you visit their site, be sure to use their emissions calculator, which allows you to compare the Prius to a London black cab or "standard four door saloon." They offer energy saving tips and fuel efficient driving tips as well. The site is well done, and is very interactive and fun, an example being under the "Our Cars" section of the site. It doesn't look like a car hire (rental) service as much as a taxi or minicab service. Big difference there.
