Laurie David feels a little bad about attacking school kids' dad

Now that's inconvenient.

Michael Crichton has certainly gone off the right-wing deep end recently, as a fiction writer who advises President Bush on global warming and someone who attacks journalists in his most recent novel. But that's no reason his children should have to suffer.

Environmentalist Laurie David visited the Crossroads School in L.A. (full of celebrity kids, I'm led to believe, including David's) last week and showed Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth (which she helped produce). After the film, a student asked about Crichton's "State of Fear," which is a novel that apparently takes a big stab at global warming. David answered by attacking Crichton, which she has done before, but this time Crichton's children were in attendance. David didn't apologize, but did say she did feel "a little bad" about it later. Ahhhh, Los Angeles.
