Chrysler finally gets its Chery - the Hornet lives!

Chrysler will finally be getting a small B-Class car to sell in the next couple of years. As expected for several months now, DaimlerChrysler has finally signed an agreement with Chinese car-maker Chery Automotive. A production model based on the design of the Dodge Hornet concept shown at the 2006 Geneva Auto Show will be assembled by Chery in China and exported to markets including the United States. Full details of the agreement are expected to be released within the next month. Hopefully they will get this car to market soon with a nice little diesel engine under the hood. Mercedes has a suitable engine in the A-Class that would be a perfect match.
