Gallery: High quality images of the Scoot - a simple electric scooter in search of a partner
Here is a high quality gallery where you can view pictures of the scooter which sometimes is called only "Scoot", and at other times is called the "Electroscoot". Whatever you choose to call it, the vehicle is an electric-powered, two-wheeled alternative means of transportation.
The idea, of course, is that this vehicle will accomplish the minor errands and runnings around of the average day, without the need to fire up your two-ton fire-breathing monster-mobile (just kidding). Honestly, I think that something along these lines would be useful to me personally. There are times when even taking my motorcycle seems wasteful, and I don't always feel like strapping rollerblades on or taking my bicycle.
The design of this scooter is refreshing to me. Look hard (easy to do with our supplied gallery) and you will be pressed to find anything that isn't necessary, and the necessary items are all well integrated and styled. Not since the Vespa of the 1940's has a scooter design been so simple. Currently, the set of companies which worked on the design is looking for partners to put the vehicle into production. Apparently they have gotten interest, but none of the parties interested met the teams scrutiny; it seems they would rather only do the project if it can be done right the first time - good strategy. If anyone is interested in helping these scooters get produced, let us know in the comments and I will forward the information to the companies. Or, if you would like more information into what went into the design of the scooter, just ask.

Like most concepts, it's cute and all, but it won't be so cute once it's road legal. For instance, if it's going to be registered as a motorcycle (vs. some kind of low-speed scooter like the be-motored Razor scooters), it'll need:
* Front turn signals
* Rear turn signals
* License plate holder
* Front fender
* Rearview mirrors
Possibly more. Those additions will make it a lot less cute, which is unfortunate. It's a pity designers of this kind of thing can't incorporate those elements from the start rather than leaving them to be slapped on at the end, usually to the severe detriment of their design.

as ianj commented, it has a long way to go before it could be road worthy. additionally, it looks like it would be almost invisible under most road conditions especially urban environs with high glare road side lighting. 2 wheel rides are is about safety before style.
If you are making an urban scooter, make it small enough to fit in a elevator and 400 sq ft "living" space so one can protect it against theft. give it enough storage to carry a week's worth of food. if your scooter isn't practical and theft proof, why buy one given all of the very nice scooters on the market today. ev, by itself, is not sufficient. range, refueling time, match to task requirements are far more important.
for me, 200km, 5-10 min, 130-150km/h top end, 50l storage, and 2up seating are my requirements

okay, looks like someone didn't go to http://electroscoot.com
It's registered as a bicycle
It has a 50 km range
It has a top speed of 30 kph
The turn signals are integrated in the tail light, the front wouldn't take much to put some amber LEDs to do the same
Mirrors are not needed on a bicycle
It's a nice concept, but still needs work. How do you anchor it?
Charging... just take the seat with you. plug it in at home/work/school

Most people who presently drive a car to work may not find this concept useful. However, I've found the EVT scooters (with luggage carrier) to be a somewhat decent alternative to a car - for some trips. Apologies to those who've already seen it. And no, I'm not on EVT's payroll! Just a satisfied customer - though I'm still rather unsatisfied with the EVT's speed (which is nonetheless quite a bit faster than this concept's).
