Is this the same GM whose CEO stated recently that global warming was not happening? They (GM) are so full of it, they have side stepped the issue of when they intend to produce the Volt for sale to the public. They are so far behind the curve with current technology that what appears to be the performance stats on the Volt would render it irrelevent if it were available today let alone in 2010. They won't ever build it , I don't think they ever intended to build it. Smoke and mirrors are easier and cheaper than the serious R & D they should have been doing over the past decade. They will soon be extinct like the dinasoars they have been fobbing off on the uneducated, shortsighted consumers that now can't afford to fill thier tanks.

Has anybody checked out the Veken Hybrid Scooter? It's really the first "plug-in vehicle" to hit the market. It also has a small gas engine to recharge the battery like the Volt. It's finally available in the USA.
