Chicago Auto Show: Honda Fit wins MotorWeek's "Drivers Choice Award"
I was at the MotorWeek 2007 Drivers Choice Awards at the Chicago Auto Show, and was a bit surprised to see that the Fit won their "Best of the Year category". Not that there is anything wrong with the Fit, of course. I think that it is a fine car, and one that does what most people need each day, while returning excellent fuel mileage. In fact, even Honda's own Civic loses out to the Fit when it comes to the all important size\performance\value trade-off in many peoples minds ... including the minds of the MotorWeek voters.Other applicable awards went to Toyota Motors for being the "Most Eco Friendly". This, despite Honda promoting itself as the "most fuel-efficient car company in America". Do you readers agree with their choice?

I don't agree with it. "MOST eco-friendly" seems pretty clear to me. Toyota may have achieved that IMAGE with their one eco-friendly car, the Prius, but that doesn't make them the best. Honda isn't just the most fuel efficient in America THIS YEAR, they've been that way for a long time. The Press, automotive and otherwise, have made Toyota and the Prius look like Gods, when they're really just second place (if that). This award is just one more example. Thanks, Motorweek.
