Watch Lovecraft Biofuels TV commercials online
"It's cheaper than regular gas, but that's not the point." No, it's not... but it could help make it easier to make the switch. These commercials for Lovecraft Biofuels highlight a few people who have done conversions on their diesel-powered automobiles to run on biofuels. In one memorable shot, an attractive young lady dumps vegetable oil into her tank, then onto her salad which she proceeds to eat. Another man says that his car "smells like Thai food", which is "good, unless you're hungry."
I think these commercials are well done, and they make the idea of running your car on clean fuels memorable. I'm also sure that it was no accident that young, attractive people were chosen as the spokespeople. Willie is a good spokesperson too, don't get me wrong, but marketing is marketing, after all.

It's sad to see so many people mislead about Lovecrap biofuels! I run Biodiesel and Lovecrap is not biodiesel! It's a single tank system of poorly designed and installed parts that will destroy an engine in short order. Coking up your injectors is a common problem and stalling out on the freeway has caused major accidents and totalled cars. If you are determined to run Veggie oil, get a quality 2 tank system running diesel and veggie oil or biodiesel, which is similar to dino-diesel #2! Too many great classic Mercedes Benz's are winding up in wrecking yards leaving ripped off owners eating dirt!

Veggie conversions are great, but Lovecraft makes the worst conversion possible. Your car will work, but not for long.

While there are good vegetable oil systems out there in the marketplace, Lovecraft is not one of them! It's a hack job that has destroyed several cars and their owners are left stranded with no recourse other than to hire a lawyer! Wrecking yards are filling up with classic Mercedes Benz's in great condition because of Brian Lovecraft! Well, at least they were until they got a Lovecraft conversion! My advice, get yourself a GOOD quality conversion if you must run on vegetable oil! This will be a quality made 2 tank system from companies like greasecar, elsbett, etc... Join forums, ask questions and do your homework, and when you see Lovecraft coming, don't walk, RUN!!!

Don't let the fad fool you! Lovecraft provides false promises and preys upon naiive hard working people. I went there personally and asked viable questions to Brian Friedman (a tatoo artist no less) and he shut down completely when I asked the hard question. Longevity. he pigeonholed my question as he did to everyone else. Diesel engines of any kind in passenger cars are not designed for underheated vegetable oil. Sure it works, but not for very long straining the cars until they die a premature death. Wasted dollars and energy.
Want to be green? Buy biodiesel from a fueling station and drive sparingly!

Lovecraft biofuels IS a bunch of beautiful people and that's about as far as it goes. Their solution is seen as one of the biggest hacks in the business and is regularly slammed by true Mercedes diesel experts.
Many "converted" cars sold by this operation have failed shortly afterwards with no warranty recourse.

Avoid long term and expensive damage to your engine. Starting the engine on cold veggie oil will cause permanent injection pump damage. If you want to see the toll LoveCraft is taking on an series of classic cars, simply go to any local junkyard and count the cars that were converted.
These classics are quickly diminishing in number because of these hacks and others following their lead.
If you must run WVO/SVO, get a good two tank system.

In July 2006, I wanted to go bio diesel. I made a $4000 deposit for a car & got on the waiting list. I was told by LoveCraft that my deposit was 100% refundable. Shortly after that, I got a job out of the country. Now, I don't need a car, any kind of car,at all and I requested a refund of my deposit. I have been trying to get my deposit back for 6 months. I have been told repeatedly by various employees of LoveCraft that my deposit will be sent out any day, but no luck. Does anybody have any advice on how to get my deposit back? I'm confused because it seemed like the people at LoveCraft were all so nice and well intentioned and now this! I just want to get this resolved & move on with my life.

Pretty ad. I like the message they're pushing, but they have one of the worst conversions for running on vegetable oil in the industry. Don't let them convert your car and expect to drive it long enough to come out even for the cost of the conversion...there's not a ton of older Mercedes left out there, and these people are ruining every one they get their hands on.

#3 "I wanted to go bio diesel. I made a $4000 deposit"
Please don't say "bio diesel"! This is the problem with directly burning VegOil.. it confuses people and can damage vehicles. While most ABG readers know the difference, many don't know that Biodiesel and VegOil are not the same thing.

Lovecraft is crap. While I am not an expert on the engine and mechanical side of lovecraft, the way they handle questions on their website alone simply appalls me. If they can't answer someone's question (which is VERY VERY frequent), they either delete the post or reply with "with 1000+ cars on the road with this conversion, if this was a problem, I think it would have appeared right now".
They offer no proof of anything they claim, and they definitely rip people off. It's evident just from how they operate.
