Volvo Trucks create Environmental Product Declaration website

Volvo has created what they term an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) website which covers two of their best-selling truck models, the Volvo FH and Volvo FM. The intention of the world-first EPD is to provide Volvo customers with materials, specifications and statistics to enable them to understand the how particular Volvo truck models fare environmentally. The information and on-line application enables customers to calculate the environmental impact of a single transport operation or the complete life cycle of a truck.

Analysis: Everyone wants to at least appear to be green. But proving that you can be difficult sometimes. This is a smart move on Volvo's part to make it easy for its customer to market their own 'greenness' out in the market.
