Jennifer Aniston joins the growing list of celebrities driving the Prius
The lovely Jennifer Aniston, neighbor of Prius driver Leonardo DiCaprio, has replaced her Range Rover with a Toyota Prius. There is not much more to add to the story, other than the fact that she more than doubles her fuel efficiency for less than half of the price of the large SUV. Somehow I doubt that the money savings were very high on her list of reasons to go the environmentally friendly route, but, what do I know? Am I rambling on just to fill up some space so that my text is at least as long as the picture I included to the right? Maybe. But, it did work, didn't it!

Now when she cries herself to sleep thinking about Brad and Angelina getting it on, she can comfort herself with the fact that she is helping the environment. I hear that the dashboard of the Prius absorbs tears rather well.

That's all fine and dandy, but these cars are NOT good for the environment, just for making the rich feel like they're doing something to contribute to society. I'd be more impressed if she recycled an old MB diesel and converted it to use biodiesel/veggie oil.

My apologies RWD, i was just making fun of Jennifer Aniston, not supporting prius' hybrid technology. Im a fan of diesel, too. And I will bet her mansion isnt so efficient, either. To hell with her and her snobby neighbors.

reddsharkk,
I really wasn't aiming my comment at you, rather at the fact that these PR releases are just fluff to make the elite Hollywood types feel like they're contributing something to the world other than the mindless drivel spewed out of the entertainment industry. What really bugs me is the ones who preach this populist crap like anyone believes that their background really gives them the ability to understand science better than the average person.
At least with Ms. Aniston she's pleasant to look at while you're ignoring what she's actually saying, unlike the vitriol spewed from such undeserving celebrities like Streisand and O'donnel (Spelling? who cares?).

RWD, have you looked at the emissions of those old MB diesels, even with B100? It's pretty nasty, you do more for the environment by trashing your MB an getting a TDI, but even those aren't great. I ended up selling my TDI after running B100 in it for years because I couldn't get the emissions clean.
Not saying the Prius is better here, but each has it's advantages/disadvantages.
