Roundtable economists discuss the impact of increased ethanol production
About a minute into this video, the roundtable group of Aaron Task, John Authers, Jim Ellis and Liz Ann Sonders speak about ethanol and its impact on the farming industry and economics in general. Nobody sounds really excited about the ethanol market. As any reader of this site already knows, most of the U.S. ethanol comes from corn, which is not a very good source crop for the fuel. Now, even economists are taking their shots at the alternative fuel. Here's hoping that other alternatives to fossil fuels crops (HA!) up soon, or at least the U.S. can get off the corn based ethanol for other cellulosic sources.

Forget the smoke and mirrors. Printing too much money causes inflation. Duh. http://one-simple-idea.com/M3MoneySupply.htm

Now add the fact that Iran, the 3rd largest oil producer is breaking Opec’s 1972 agreement to only accept US dollars for oil by now only accepting euros. What’s the exchange rate? The Chinese who have purchased over $1 Trillion in US treasury notes which we used to fund the Iraq war will now pay for their Iranian oil with euros. If we don't go to war with Iran to force them to honor their 1972 agreement, the US Dollar will no longer be the dominant global currency and may even COLLAPSE. This will cause Hyperinflation because the (un) federal (no) reserve privately owned central bank will order the US treasury to print even more currency so we can honor our debt payments to China! We are in DEEP TROUBLE!! The “Federal” Reserve and the Federal Deficit is a SCAM! See what Dr. Ron Paul of TX had to say about this on the floor of the House. BE patient, Representative Paul is the 2nd speaker about 2 minutes into the tape. Very interesting. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8327695139643041382&q=ron+paul+duration%3Along
