Kermit's green car ad wins top award at New York Auto Show

Kermit the Frog helped a Ford Escape Hybrid television ad score top honors in the IAG Automotive Advertising Awards. The announcement was made just moments before Ford president and CEO Alan Mulally gave the keynote address to open media days at the New York International Auto Show. The IAG awards are based on viewer response data collected by IAG. The winners were the most effective at breaking through all the clutter on television and registering a lasting impact on the viewer. Winners were announced in five categories. The Escape Hybrid ad won for Most Effective Overall Ad for Non-Luxury vehicles. Other winners included Lexus LS460, Honda Pilot, VW Passat wagon and Toyota Yaris.
