MTV's Pimp My Ride building 800hp biodiesel '65 Chevy Impala
Just about the time that this blog burst forth upon the world last year, the cable channel that used to play music videos, started a thinkMTV campaign called "Break The Addiction". The 12 month long 12-step program aimed at breaking the addiction to excessive energy use will be wrapping on April 22, Earth Day 2007 with a special edition of Pimp My Ride. The show that normally focuses on doing things to cars that go way beyond the bounds of good taste or common sense will be taking on a 1965 Chevrolet Impala. The crew from Galpin Auto Sports will be getting a visit from Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger as they transform a forty-two year old beater. The probably very smoky old gas engine will be tossed in favor of an 800hp biodiesel fueled oil-burner. While this is clearly not quite the same as bolting a rack full of batteries into the bed of an old Chevy S10, it definitely falls into the alternative realm. The finale will apparently involve running the diesel Impala against a new Lamborghini Gallardo, which given the torque characteristics of a diesel should prove interesting. There's no word yet whether BioWillie Nelson will make an appearance to help fuel up the car, but we will have an interview with the creators of the show early next week.

no sad story here the way u rip them up who wouldn't want you to creat his ride i have a 1975 gran torino sport 2dr puts out 425 to 450 now from her 460 factory custom interior drivers seat bottom only tired and body edges
my baby is my 1950 2dr pontiac siler streak torpedoe she's got a rebuilt straight 8 and rebuit hydo-glide tranny she's knarly but solid ask for pics and give me an address i'm canadian but these babies are international they will not disappoint your creative brilliance no restictions on either bust a ball george

i have a 65 Impala ss conv I would be honor if the guys from pimp my ride would do there thing to that classic. I remove the top completely out of car, you guys can go to town with this car, make it biodiesel that would be sweet.

i have a (327) 1964 chevy hard top impala. 4 door. my father left it to me. i think he paid 200 dollars for it. he bought it from this guy who owned a run down gas station. i was in elementary school. i remember it like it was yesterday. i went to school. i came home, looked out the bus window and saw that car, i was upset. all the other kids started making fun of me. i was mad. i really hated that car. then some years later dr. dre and snoop dogg brought them back. then the same guys that was making fun of me wanted to buy it. i told them no, that was the only thing my father gave me. i still have that car and love it. i try to do some work on it, but with me being in the military and having 6 kids (5 boys, 1 girl) i cant afford it. yaeh, i have a 12 year old son with high blood pressure, a 6 year old girl, a 5 year son he is autistic, a 2 year son, and 1 year old twins boys. if you know anyone with a shop that is willing to work on it for cheap, plz leave me a message.

The GM suppied duramax engine inserted into the 1965 Impala cranks 850 hp and 1200 lb-ft of torque. The Impala was chosen because it has a stronger frame than most other mid-1960s muscle cars.

To whom it may concern, I have a niece her name is Eliazbeth Gomez she's 23 yrs. old. She has 2 boy's, It's hard 4 her and the 2 boy's 2 get back & fourth to the doctor's,Grocery shopping & 2 take the boy's on an outing 2 have fun. It's very stressful 4 them. When they take the bus the boy's run out 2 the street & I'm afraid of that. Then she has carbon dioxide coming in her car & it's not good 4 her & the boy's. Nikko is gonna be 3yr.old Dec 27th 07. & Ricco is 3yrs. old their 11 month's apart. She would be Blessed & so happy if you would Pimp her ride. My heart goes out to them.
