Honda files a patent for a new two-wheeler, the Griffon

It looks like there may be a new scooter coming to market from Honda. We don't bring you news of every single scooter that may be coming soon to a dealer near you, though. This isn't just any scooter, though. This is the Honda Griffon concept that was shown at the 2003 Tokyo Motor Show. A 750cc horizontally opposed 4 cylinder engine (like the boxer-style engines in Subaru's and VW Beetles) with VTEC variable valve timing and an automatic transmission should get your head spinning, that is, if you are a two-wheeler. This news comes to us from The Scooter Scoop, and was started when a reader named Dudel found that Honda had filed a patent for the vehicle on April 17th.
