Watch - and listen - to the Venturi Fetish
I speak exactly zero French, so I have no idea what they are saying in the above video. But, I do speak electric cars, and I like what I am hearing from the Venturi Fetish at about 50 seconds into said video. I grew up loving the sound that a big internal combustion engine makes, and to be honest, I still do. But, I never liked the smell that proceeded the sounds of the big block! Now, I can love the sound that the motor makes and enjoy the lack of environmental and olfactory impact!

The sound of this car is way better than a internal combustion engine on a sports car. It similiar to a jet engine.
You can see the driver head get whipped back with all the torque.

Nicely done. I'd like to know more about the details of the car.
Clearly, it's a concept. Sadly, the frameless windshield is one nice-looking detail that would never make it into production. Note that they removed the rear view mirror to accentuate the look for filming: You can still see the mirror mount.

Only 25 will be built, at €540.000(!) each, you can get about 8 Tesla's. It boasts performances that are less than a Tesla both in acceleration and range although being a very similar concept (ACP150, Li-ion, carbon everything). Only difference is you can buy the Fetisch today...or 8 Tesla's in a few months...

It seems this video is quite old because on their site http://www.venturi.fr/Venturi-Fetish.html the specs are better than what is said in the video, most notably the pricetag: €297.000, but that will still buy you 4 Tesla's...
