Quantum's Hydrogen Prius at Norsk Hydro's first hydrogen station

Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc., a fully integrated alternative fuel company, has just imported several more of its hydrogen hybrid Toyota Prius' to Heroya Porsgrunn, Norway where they unveiled their first hydrogen refueling station. The goal that this first station is helping to be realized is a hydrogen-fueled highway between Oslo, the capitol, and Stavanger. The 360-mile route will require four additional stations, at least, which will be commissioned by 2009. The goal is to create an infrastructure throughout Scandanavia that enables hydrogen-powered vehicles to travel more freely about the country, enabling a clean mode of transportation. Norway is apparently trying to give the U.K. a run for its money on being the hydrogen leader.

So if America can barely afford hydrogen powered cars, why is that Scandinavia thinks that it can?
Hydrogen is just a little too pricey...

Is this Version 1 with a mere 80 mile range per tank, or is it Version 2, with the trunk filled with tanks and a mere 150 mile range?
The whole concept is absurd, with a conversion cost higher than any "plug-in" conversion, fuel costs several times higher than running on electricity, and severely limited range.
Ah, but Quantum is desperate to sell those expensive carbon fiber H2 tanks, the've got to have something to show stockholders for their years of expensive research and development.
