Lancia Ypsilon Sport by MomoDesign

Setting out to prove that being environmentally responsible does not need to be boring is a quest that takes place more often in Europe than in the United States. That really is too bad, with vehicles like the Mini D and diesel versions of the smart on the market. Diesel versions of BMWs, Mercedes and others also often fail to cross the pond. Here is another example of such a vehicle, this time from Lancia in the form of the Lancia Ypsilon Sport by MomoDesign. I'll be honest and say that I am not a huge fan of the styling here, but the performance and efficiency numbers are alive and kicking! The vehicle sports a top speed of over 100 miles per hour while delivering less than 120 g/km in CO2 emissions.

Oh well, we can only hope that as low sulfur diesel is now available and new fuel economy guidelines are likely,t we will get more of the Euro-only vehicles that we have been missing out on so far.
