University of Hertfordshire to race a hydrogen powered Formula Student car
Not much noise has been coming lately from the camp that is starting the Hydrogen Electric Racing Federation, led by Peter M. Delorenzo. We noted that racing often accelerates technology when we first brought you news of that proposed racing league. Something more current is being created by the University of Hertfordshire Formula Student Team in the form of a hydrogen-powered Formula Student car. The car, known as the UH08H, seems to be converted from a previous vehicle that the team used for racing purposes. Their most current Formula car is the UH10.
Racing is scheduled for today and tomorrow at Silverstone. The vehicle is said to be competitive with the normal gas-powered racers. The car can go from zero to sixty in just 3.2 seconds, and continue on to a top speed of 130 miles per hour! Hydrogen for the vehicle is to come from farm waste, and will use no fossil fuels for its production. Racing with zero emissions starts today!

I'm in the UH Racing Team and just wanted to commend all the boys for an excellent achievement in the various categories being entered this year!
