The weirdest reason to not ride a bus: too much cleavage?
Sometimes, news of the weird is just too much. According to Reuters, a bus driver in Berlin almost threw an attractive woman off his bus recently for showing a little too much skin. The driver said, "'Your cleavage is distracting me every time I look into my mirror and I can't concentrate on the traffic. If you don't sit somewhere else, I'm going to have to throw you off the bus," according to the woman in question (Debora C., who is not in the picture at right). She moved seats, but said she felt humiliated.
A bus company spokesman defends the driver: "The bus driver is allowed to do that and he did the right thing. A bus driver cannot be distracted because it's a danger to the safety of all the passengers."
Actually, Reuters sources this to Bild magazine, which has been known to exaggerate once or twice. Grain of salt and all that. Still, whose fault is it that a guy can't keep his eyes on the road? Not the woman's, that's for sure.

You gotta love women - they show off their boobs to get attention and then are "humiliated" when someone can't stop staring - classic!!

I would say, she should be more aware of people around her when she gets dressed. Maybe a sweater or a scarf. I do believe the man probably is just like a man and likes boobies. He is on the job and it is a distraction. He may have asked politely. It probably would have been a good idea to possibly speak to her w/o being overheard to save her embarrassment. But honestly the way a person dresses does affect those around them if it is noticeable. I hope he doesn't get sued.

I applaud the bus driver for his honesty. I see absolutely nothing wrong with what he did. If it's distracting him from driving then what's the problem? She should have felt complimented rather than humiliated. At least he was being honest and not trying to harrass her.

Please. You idiots act like cleavage can be just popped off and stuck in your pocket. News flash from a woman who used to be a size F cup -- it doesn't matter whether you show cleavage or not. I dressed very conservatively, especially in the office, and I still got so tired of men "talking to my chest" that I finally had a breast reduction. It's not flattering, it's humiliating and painful to have men openly objectify you -- and even more painful to have them blame you for their lack of self-control and maturity. Good grief, you people would probably blame a woman for getting raped too, especially if she wore anything less than a burqua.
And the bus driver did the right thing? Really? What if he got distracted by the sight of a man's ass? Or a person's hair color -- or skin? Would he force a disabled person to move, if their disability "made" him gawk at them like a bobblehead doll? At what point do we tell the driver to get over his sexism, racism, ableism, etc., and start treating different people like *people*?

Not the perfect bike to go on vacation. A small tank with just e85. If e85 yield less energy then after 80 miles you should need a fill-up. The best should be to add a electronic sensor to detect the ethanol blend then with fuel injection you adjust the injector cycle and you can fill with gasoline or e85. Then it's not finish because e85 is suppose to burn hotter and this bike in traffic without a liquid cooling can experience detonations.

I love this one. Maybe what we need is international legislation that all attractive women (and who will decide that one - any volunteers?)need to show an ample amount of cleavage so that the site of really mind blowing cleavage will no longer be a distraction, but the norm. Like seeing a really pretty women displaying ample cleavage could ever become a normal sight!

That story gave me a snicker. I can see his point, nature has programmed men to like cleavage and it can be distracting. My inner teenager would like to say thanks for the pic. ;-)
