See a Chevy Volt made from sand

sand,chevy,volt

Kids playing at "Chevy beach." It's "a massive environmentally-themed sand carving exhibit." Included is a full size sand sculpture of the Chevy Volt concept by "World Champion Sand Sculptor Peter Vogelaar." Why? "What better way to commemorate such an important vehicle and environmental sustainability than by creating a tribute out of sand" asks Peter... he's right. I can't think of a better way. Can you?

So if you are close to Kitsilano Beach in Vancouver, you have until today to "come play in Vancouver's largest sand box. It's so big you can actually fit a car in it!" I am not sure but I think the blond kids from central casting are carving tiny oil barrels out of sand. I guess the sand car was not strange enough.
