Video: Michelle Pfeiffer talks about her EV on Letterman
Michelle Pfeiffer was on Letterman last night. It's actually a repeat. She is promoting two movies, Hairspray , which already opened and Stardust. Stardust opens this Friday, August 10. She talked about her children, her donkey and her electric car. She drives an "all electric" which "she loves." She only started to drive it again recently because she could only charge it at "her house." She was afraid she would "run out of energy." Not "even AAA. No one could help" her. She talks about it 3 minutes into the interview. Go below the fold to see the video.

think i just saw an entry on cardevotion.com about a google-map of electric-car-recharge locations. That makes things a little more plausible

Michelle’s comments are pertinent as to what REALLY killed the EV-1.
The AVERAGE buyer is afraid to get stuck in the middle of nowhere with a dead battery. Not even AAA can haul around a gallon of electricity and quickly poor it into a tank to get you to the next "filling" station.
It took GM over $1 Billion to discover that MOST people are unable or unwilling to make the paradigm leap to all electric without a stepping stone. Unfortunately, GM ended the EV-1 project VERY poorly (like a bully) which turned into a serious P.R. and general credibility issue. More honest and open communications may have led to less salt being rubbed into everyone’s wounds.
E-Flex is the stepping stone and will go a very long way toward solving these problems. That’s why the Volt project is so important to GM.
