VW snags ÿKO-TREND award for Passat BlueMotion

The ÖKO-TREND institute has decided that Volkswagen should get another "Automobile Environment Certificate" for the Passat BlueMotion. VW previously earned this certificate for the Golf TSI, Polo BlueMotion, the Golf 1.4 TSI, the Touran EcoFuel.

The Auto-Umwelt-Zertifikat means that the vehicle it is applied to have passed with flying colors a few tests for ecological friendliness, things like fuel use, emissions, recyclability and production methods. VW says the Passat BlueMotion earned the top scores in "many" of the category list.
