McCain drinks a glass of ethanol every day

Presidential hopeful John McCain went to car-maker-city Detroit and told them they must support higher fuel efficiency standards. John says it's a national security issue and we must be leaders on green technology. John even joked he drinks a glass of ethanol every day. Here are some quotes:
- "We need to work together to increase CAFÉ standards to a level that is practical and achievable for all new vehicles."
- "My friends, it's a national security issue."
- "We can't keep up this level of gas guzzling."
- "I'm all for ethanol, I drink a glass of ethanol every morning."
- "We need to be at the cutting edge of green technologies because 95 percent of the world's customers live outside the U.S."
- "What's it called, a Purr-ess? Pryuss? Peer-uss?"
- "Yeah, Py-russ"
- "No, Prius."
- "O.K., Prius, Prius."
- "I ought to know the name of it; I paid for it."

Surprise, surprise. So a far left Democrat-Socialist http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democratic_socialism who spent way too much time being programmed in a Communist prison has infiltrated the tax & spend Neocon Republicans http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neocon and now he’s running for president. This just goes to prove how little difference there really is between the two parties.
Both HATE the limitations placed on gov’t by the Constitution because they are drunk on power and addicted to pandering for votes with other people’s money.
Is there ANYONE running for president who consistently believes in the rule of law and the constitution?

See Ron Paul.
Why hasn't McCain died yet if he drinks a glass of ethanol a day? Maybe he is a Decepticon?
Before we can get higher mileage, we need better fuel. 87,90,93 AKI (or better) minimum (at sea level) for a three tier fuel grade system. If MTBE is out, and E10 is in, it shouldn't be that hard to do.
GM has plenty of engines that could be mid-grade, so long as mid-grade is 90 or better. GM says premium fuel recommended but not required for its 2.4 I4 right now.

If he can't remember the name of the car he bought his own daughter (a move transparently made for the PR cred), then maybe his old-person brain is getting ethanol and alcohol confused. And if he really does drink a glass of alcohol every morning, he and I turn out to have more in common than I once thought. IN summation, I need a drink.

fcn: What do you mean by "getting ethanol and alcohol confused"?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grain_alcohol
The confusion is thinking you can't drink the stuff.

Maybe McCain has built up a tolerance to denatured alcohol?
