Ottawa's first permanent hydrogen fuelling station now open
Hey, are there Project Driveway participants in Ottawa? There could be, now that Gary Lunn, Canada's minister of natural resources, helped open the city's first permanent hydrogen fueling station. According to Fuel Cell Today, this is part of the Hydrogen on the Hill project, which "aims to improve public awareness of the capability of hydrogen energy technologies and the role Canadian firms are playing in working towards the creation of a hydrogen economy."All told, there are ten permanent hydrogen fueling stations in Canada, five of those in Ontario. Ten down, I wonder how many more thousand to go.
UPDATE: fixed spelling errors.

I wonder how many hydrogen fueling stations Washintin DC has. It could be a race for each of the two capitol cities in North America for the most!

Emphasis on the correct your spelling.
Ditto on the thanks from Canada (Ottawa in particular).

Ahh, watch them collect dust, and eventually be quietly dismantled for lack of business. The only question is how long they intend to maintain the charade?

According to the US Government Alternative Fuel Locator:
http://afdcmap2.nrel.gov/locator/FindPane.asp
there are 6 private hydrogen stations (no public access) and two more stations planned, within 1000 miles of Washington DC. This search tool won't allow you to put a radius of more than 100 miles.

This one probably will see service and was specifically built to refuel the Hydrogen powered Parliamentary shuttle buses that went into service last year as part of the same project.
When a member of the public actually refills at this station is another question altogether.
