Bike sex case sparks privacy debate. Yes, as in sex with a bike (NSFW)
Robert Stewart was having sex with a bike in his locked hostel room. Robert said he was drunk and his actions misunderstood but when cleaners knocked and there was no response, they opened the door with a key and saw Robert having sex with a bike. The cleaners called the police, Robert got three years probation and is on the sex offenders list. The BBC website says their report on the story has over a million views and there is a legal debate.
John Scott, human rights expert says "the man involved in this case pleaded guilty to a breach of the peace so these issues of privacy weren't considered by the court. ... This case should not prevent people who want to engage in this sort of activity doing so." So, it's still legal to have sex with your bike in the privacy of a room. Just make sure to do it in a locked room, where the locks have no duplicate keys and you are able to hear a knock.

Lol lots of people have sex with race bikes, downhill mountain bikes, dirtbikes, etc. Big deal get over it. Marking him a sex offender is purely European in everyway possible lol. Look at all the cameras on their hiways- can you say privacy invasion? Europe is void of any privacy.

And this story belongs on autoblog green, why?
Pure worthless trash story... Delete and move on... I'd expect to see this on some gossip rag or news of the wierd. But here, its a distraction from the issues the site stands for.

Mark, I agree, this is not something I need to see first thing in the morning. Or anytime for that matter.

I agree with the above, this is completely pointless.

Lighten up! Of course it belongs on this site. The man was obviously using his bike rather than some battery or plug in device to reduce his carbon footprint! Frankly i don't know why it wasn't reported on sooner.

I think her seat was too high.
As to the article... uhh... perhaps that guy needs to get out more often and drink less.

the laws that got that guy put in jail are a bit draconian.
the fact that the guy was sexing it up with a bike (I don't want anyone to explain) is strange, and probably gross if I think about it.
but still, getting logged as a sex offender for the rest of his life?
what we don't hear I guess is what happened after they opened the door... I mean, if he forced them to join in or something, that could be bad. but just sticking a bike seat up his bum? as long as he does it in privacy, who cares?
good video regardless.

I agree with the first few comments. In general I think there is too much bicycle content here. Bicycle's provide transportation about as well as candles provide illumination.

Now that is what you call a Die Hard Earthy Crunchy... if he had a tandem bike would they call it a 3 some?

I think if it's true it most certainly has important social relevance. Sure, it's a silly and ridiculous story, but if you really get penalized by law for using your bike as some sort of weird masturbatorial device, there is a serious invasion of privacy argument there.
