Citroën finds inspiration in Nemo's name with clownfish paint scheme on the Concetto

The other day, Citroën began selling the 119gm/km CO2 Nemo delivery van. Now, with a name like that, how could they not steal from a certain popular movie about a clownfish? Citroën has given the Nemo the orange and white paint treatment with the new Nemo Concetto, on display at the 2007 Bologna Motor Show. From what I can tell from the little information Citroën has released about this version of the Nemo, the Concetto could offer the same under-the-hood and customization options as the standard Nemo. What Citroën likes to add is that, "Like the fish, Nemo Concetto can be considered as "small" among its peers. However, its size is an asset, since it is able to nip in and out of traffic easily." Well, at least the images are nice. Check out the gallery for more.

They have the worst designers over there. This and their other concept that looks like a sneaker are laughably bad.

I'll bet they get sued by Disney.

I don't care what you guys think, I like the design and Citroen should make a deal with Disney before they sell any with that paint scheme.

The possibility of a law suit occurred to me too, though I doubt Disney (Pixar?) has any legal jurisdiction over the coloration of a clown-fish. I would think it would be the name, rather than the paint job, that might get them into trouble.
Of course, it's amazing what lawyers can prove.
I also don't think the styling is at all objectionable... maybe a little wonky, but different strokes... It certainly wouldn't stop me from driving one.

@all: If you take a close look at the car, it has some Nemos in the inside and a Nemo flag on the antenna, so it seems to be a merchandising deal between Citroen and Pixar.
I doubt a "Nemo edition Nemo" with this large scale foil job will be sold, but since Citroen has a long tradition of special editions, starting the Nemo in the five seater version with a "Nemo edition" would make sense.

Of course, Citroën has agreed with Pixar on this. Citroën have been the most creative marketers you can imagine since they were founded by Andrè Citroën. Citroën himself spent a lot of money on marketing and I think he should be called the Bill Gates of Car Marketing. Most notable among his stunst is lighting up the entire Eiffel Tower with his name. Charles Lindbergh later told the press he used Citroëns name as a navigation beacon.
