Florida Power and Light to test Azure Dynamics hybrid shuttle

Electric Utility Florida Power and Light (FPL) has signed a deal with Azure Dynamics to test one of Azure's hybrid shuttle buses. The parallel hybrid vehicle will be used by FPL to evaluate the potential savings and environmental benefits of the hybrid compared to a standard vehicle under real world commercial use. FPL will be a lead customer in doing a field evaluation of the Azure vehicles. Azure's system is based on a Ford E-450 chassis.
