GoingGreen has a post-Xmas sale on the G-Wiz

For those of you in England who like to live small, GoingGreen is offering up special deals on the G-Wiz electric car. The UK distributor of the the Indian-built quadricycle is offering up ex-demo units for only £2,999 compared to a base price of about £6,300 for a new model without air conditioning. GoingGreen is also knocking £500 of the price of used models that they have available and giving free leather seats on the somewhat improved G-Wiz i. The deals are available while supplies last or until the end of January.

The table was fixed to the road and reinforced. Obviously, if a 1400 pound object (G-Wiz) hits a 100 pound object (table), the table would be sent flying. The structure has been beefed up since those crash tests were carried out.

Thanks for the offer but I'll stick with a table.

I know this thing isn't a real car, but for anyone looking for a cheap, non-DIY NEV this thing would fit the bill pretty well...it's a shame they try to sell it as a car when it's not (since that contributes to the bad image that EVs get, much like the obama supporter who accosted me today makes me less likely to vote for him, :p)...If they sold it as an NEV or sommick such clearly, everyone would be happy!
That is, unless NEVs have stricter safety standards, :p

Actually in the US NEVs do have to meet certain crash standards which means they do have some structural integrity. Given their 25 mph speed limit you'd probably do ok unless you were run over by a hummer. Quadricycles like this one are essentially classed as a variant of motorcycles just like the three wheeled Zaps are in the US. That means they are subjected to motorcycle crash standards which is to say none.

Yeah... I saw National Treasure 2 this weekend. I yelped with glee when I saw it, and then again with dismay when they smashed it in the car chase. Ah, it was inevitable.

AJ speaks my mind. The table won, on national TV, no less. Which is why, of course, they can't sell these appalling pieces of crap.
