Headline of the year (?): China builds a "Detroit Fish"
In case you missed it before, here is further proof that the Chinese have a thing for oddly shaped and oddly named yellow submarines electric cars. We showed you this one a while back and got a chuckle out of it's two-bubble shape and a joke made at the Prez's expense. Now, take a look at the "Detroit Fish" and "A Piece of Cloud". Both of these vehicles are yellow and both are electric, just like the first one from Tang Hua.
As you might expect from a fish, the Detroit Fish is submersible. From the looks of things, the Cloud is not so waterproof as the Fish, but both run on 48 volts worth of electricity. This is truly too good to be made up.

You beat me to it, Tim.
I was thinking someone designed this with a crayon.

The thing looks like a toy. I wonder if it had leaded paint?

Should be a hit with the 2-4 year old crowd!
Seriously though--when this thing was posted on Autoblog, the evil side of my brain--the knuckle draggin' part that always ends up at the drag strip--told me that this thing would be sick tubbed out, with wheelie bars, and a big, blown alcohol burning v-8 up front. What a handful! Don't know if I'd want to stay in the throttle too long though!
Just scale this thing down, put in a little DC motor--or pedals--and put the Fisher-Price sticker on it!

First Impression: Looks like a Chinese 4-wheel knock-off of a 3-wheel Sparrow/Myers Motors NmG or Corbin Raven.
