Ann Coulter not a fan of electric cars
In a recent column, while making fun of Republican presidential candidate John McCain, conservative writer and firebrand Ann Coulter took a shot at electric cars. From the article:Another feather in his [McCain's] cap was that he didn't burden voters with a "Straight Talk Express," a means of conveyance even more useless and idiotic than an electric car.
I don't think Ann has insulted the electric car before. She has insulted lots of things (lots and lots and lots things) in the past but I think this is a first for electric transportation. Should EVs (like those in the galleries below) feel honored?

Ann Coulter makes an awful lot of money through willful flagrant ignorance. I imagine she can't be half as stupid as she appears - she's simply a very evil individual.
If Ann Coulter hates it, chances are you're doing something right, so hurrah for EVs.

Ann Coulter wasn't really critizing the electric car; it was merely the butt of the joke.
Ann Coulter would use ANYTHING as the butt of her joke. She could have said "papayas" and no one would notice.
Now, if Ann Coulter really was critizing the electric car, that would probably boost EV awareness. I bet if Ann Coulter ridiculed the electric car, that the public perception of EVs would go up! Imagine....everyone hates Ann Coulter....Ann Coulter hates EVs.....thus, I must love EVs!!!
Maybe Tesla Motors should hire her as their spokeswoman?

Yes I do know the differance, and I have definate opinions. I feel that the federal government is too large. States should be running the show more than they are. That puts me in the Jefferson/ Reagan camp.
I admire GWB for his fight, but I really despise his spending habits. McCains going to be about the same.
Not too sure you really understand Huckabee very well though. He's more in the Reagan/ Jefferson camp.

So you "admire GWB's fight…" What are your thoughts on the following:
He wages war without required Congressional declarations.
He orders spying in America which is in direct conflict with the 4th Amendment.
He permits tortures and extraordinary renditions that violate the 8th Amendment.
He suspended Habeas-Corpus allowing incarceration without charge.
He shows little respect for the separation of powers, let alone for the system of checks and balances that requires Congress to participate in domestic and foreign-policy decision making.
He killed the Posse Comitatus Act which was established in June 16, 1878 to keep the US Military from operating within the States and prevent a military dictatorship. “Homeland security” was the same excuse used by Hitler.
He has signed NUMEROUS Executive Orders contrary to the Constitution and against the American People’s rights and freedoms.
He has sign NUMEROUS bills into laws with “signing statements” stating which parts his administration will and will NOT follow.
As a True Conservative, I was fooled into voting for him. I am now forced to wonder WHO IS HE FIGHTING FOR and will McCain, Clinton II or Obama reverse this trend toward despotism?
Once H.R.1955 named the “Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007” becomes law, I can be imprisoned indefinatley for even saying the above! So much for the 1st Amendment. They are coming after the 2nd. DIRECTLY after the election as the mainstream media have already begun the assault.

Current electric cars are useless and idiotic. They take more energy and money to produce and maintain than they save.
Someday, with improved battery technology, electric cars might make sense. But currently, they don't.
Ann Coulter is still a bitch.

Be careful what you say, EVs sure as heck take more money to make but that's not to say it takes more energy to make. Higher cost doesn't automatically mean higher energy expenditure.

Ann Coultier basically admitted on Larry King Live that she often says things just to be controversial. She's almost like a parody of extreme right wing political pundits like Steven Colbert, but she's supposedly serious.
She's against John McCain and EVs and I'm for both. So at least I know she's the opposite of me. Maybe that's why I'm so annoyed I find her sexually attractive... :-)

Love Ann or hate Ann, you still can not disprove any of the facts she espouses.
Electric Cars are not ready for prime time and all your mental masturbation will not change that fact. You are be blinded by the political prism you are viewing her through.
Seek first the facts and gain knowledge before resorting to name calling. This will ultimately cast the light on you to show who you are and what you believe.
