Wal-Mart now using LNG trucks
Wal-Mart is going to introduce four liquefied natural gas (LNG)-fueled Peterbilt 386 trucks into service at their distribution center in Apple Valley, California using Westport Innovations HPDI system on Cummins ISX engines (pictured above is one of Wal-Mart's hybrid trucks being used for other tests). The deployment will be supported, in part, by funding from the Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District's (MDAQMD) Mobile Source Emission Reductions Competitive Bidding Program.
This project belongs to Wal-Mart's "Sustainability 360" program, which is expected to reduce the company's fleet vehicles' greenhouse gas emissions by 20 percent and NOx emissions between 30 and 50 percent, according to Michael Gallagher, president and chief operating officer of Westport.

I fully expect the parrots to come it with their tired old anti-Wal Mart rhetoric, repeated without an ounce of understanding to the origins of that trailer park trash talk...
but until then, go Wal-Mart. From bringing down the prices of CFLs and actually introducing them to many people to having REAL prices on Groceries - the same name brands Kroger/Publix/etc have but at prices which can be as much as a third less.
Yeah they pay squat, but like my neighbor says, his son is an idiot and its his fault for being a f-up that he is working for such a low wage... but the kid already has insurance and is going to school... unlike some others there who will forever toil at Wal-Mart and the likes because the money is good enough.
