Geneva 2008 preview: Pininfarina's Sintesi design revealed

Following weeks of sketches and hints, the carrying case (by which I mean the vehicle) for the unique hydrogen fuel cell system in the Pininfarina Sintesi has been officially unveiled. The striking Pininfarina design - note the crazy-big windshield and the double side windows - houses an electric-hydrogen hybrid system that features little fuel cells peppered throughout the vehicle. The Autoblog team will be in Geneva next week and we look forward to some live pics of this engaging concept. Thanks to Simon for the tip!

Typical neat looking concept that will never be produced.
The idea of using multiple fuel cells scattered througout the car is just plain silly. It would increase the already exhorbitant price, require a more wiring, and a lot more compressed air and H2 piping, and increases the safety and maintenance problems.

Sorry but this thing's a styling turkey compared to the Opel Flextreme. Pininfarina has been in a slump for years.

Well, put a heel on it and they're a credible shoe designer.

well, i guess it's a matter of taste.... but with Pininfarina we're talking about a heck of a lot of different tastes....
(Ferrari, Maserati, Fiat , Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Peugeot, Citroen, Rolls-Royce, Daewoo, Honda, Hyundai, General Motors, Ford, Jaguar, Volvo, Mitsubishi...)
as far as I'm concerned I'd give them top honours simply for coming out with what seems to me as the most ambitious EV in Europe to date.....

I don't know about anybody else. But i definelty like the car and it finally shows that there can bea sleek sexy car that also functions "green". There are very few cars in the world that are green that look sleek modern and sexy . Take the Honda fcx hydrogen car "yeah that car is good looking NOT !!!" So i give them their accolades and i hope to see more companies like these to make the effort style over function . (i want to know price under 50 k i will but one.)
